T\u0119 posiad\u0142o\u015b\u0107 ceni\u0119 sobie ju\u017c od d\u0142u\u017cszego czasu, a w ko\u0144cu nadarzy\u0142a si\u0119 okazja, aby z\u0142o\u017cy\u0107 producentowi wizyt\u0119 osobi\u015bcie. Najwcze\u015bniejsze wzmianki o Quinta do Crasto i  produkcji wina w tym miejscu pochodz\u0105 z 1615 roku. P\u00f3\u017aniej posiad\u0142o\u015b\u0107 otrzyma\u0142a status Feitoria (najwy\u017csza klasyfikacja winnic w tamtych czasach) wraz z innymi godnymi uwagi winnicami Doliny Douro. Na pocz\u0105tku XX wieku Quinta do Crasto zosta\u0142a zakupiona przez Constantino de Almeida, za\u0142o\u017cyciela s\u0142ynnej winiarni Constantino, zajmuj\u0105cej si\u0119 produkcj\u0105 i eksportem  porto i brandy. Po \u015bmierci Constantino de Almeida w 1923 roku, jego syn Fernando Moreira d\u2019Almeida przej\u0105\u0142 zarz\u0105dzanie Quinta do Crasto i kontynuowa\u0142 tradycj\u0119 produkcji  porto najwy\u017cszej mo\u017cliwej jako\u015bci. W 1962 roku Jorge Roquette po raz pierwszy zetkn\u0105\u0142 si\u0119 z Dolin\u0105 Douro i Quinta do Crasto. Wraz z synami i c\u00f3rk\u0105, ( Miguelem, Tom\u00e1sem oraz Rit\u0105 ) rozpocz\u0119li proces renowacji i rozbudowy winnic.
